Mega Man 9 - Splash Woman Time Attack 1:50:38

EDIT: My new highest is 1:40:53. GETTING BETTER.

I know I messed up a few places, but it's still sort of good :( !!

Was wondering if anyone comes across this and happens to be one of the World Record holders with times of like 1:35:XX could tell me how they could possibly make this any faster.

I know that if I made that jump at 0:33 (going by the game clock) I would have saved like a second, and the part after 1:25 was just a disaster and didn't go the way I wanted it to :P. Also probably could have done better on the boss -_-.

But I still don't see how you could save an extra 15 seconds :/. I could see like 5 seconds but when the World Record is 15 seconds better you know you're missing something ;0.

I'm pretty sure I did alright up to 1:00. As far as I know that's the fastest way past the part with the bubbles. Yeah :3...

Never really looked up any videos of Time Attack on YouTube for speed tricks or anything like that so I was sorta happy I got a somewhat decent time by myself.

Why are you using black hole bombs on those red spiny enemies - you can just go around them and they won't touch you.

Yeah, at the time I recorded this I wasn't doing things the fastest way they could have been done. In my current runs I'm doing things a lot differently.

I'm in the top 10 for this stage, so I see a lot of mistakes. You never jump before falls, which you should. R.Coil to catch the ladder higher in room after the bubbles. The third water platform room can be done in many ways that are faster than how you did it; try concrete shot on the left wall after the second platform comes out, for example. You can kill Splash Woman in 4.4 seconds if you don't make mistakes.

Yeah, I started jumping before falls and using R.Coil on the ladder earlier (but still after I made this video), but I never knew about using the Concrete Shot in the third room, I'll try it, thanks.

and 5 and 6 were ok

but 7 sucked big dinosaur balls.

it's alot faster then 1:45 - 1:49
