I dormed my freshman year, and I recommend that. Beyond freshman year, if you want to dorm, I'd say put a lot of thought into it. Don't room with strangers, because the excitement of that fades after freshman year. If you're really serious about your studies, get a single dorm!! Make sure you're aware of your potential roommates lifestyles because you don't want to have to go through a room change.

@cewillm is that the only housing they have for temple? or is that just the new construction that requires a years lease?

Instead of building their OWN dorms, like UPenn and Drexel are doing, Temple is just letting private developers build dorm-style apartments near campus, which cannot be put on your tuition bill and require a years' lease.
They refuse to do the real work themselves, yet are continually increasing enrollment. You are getting severely misled through the official videos; they lure you in with great images and bubbly people, but housing after Freshman year is hell.

As a freshman who had to live off campus due to a lack of housing I have to say that this video is all LIES!! Temple sucks which is why I'm transfering.
