Loyola University of Chicago's live Web cam captured the installation of a new 70 rank pipe organ built by Goulding and Wood of Indianapolis, IN. The focus is the gallery of Madonna della Strada Chapel. Work began 8-22-08. This video compresses about 30 days into 2 minutes.   • If you ever get the chance to get to Loyola to hear it, DO IT! I was there last week for the CMAA Sacred Music Colloquium, where this organ was played frequently, and it is spectacular.

  • There was a "dedication week" concert which I attended and did hear the organ in performance, along with performances by the Callipygian Players. By that time, the Web cam had been dismantled.
