I used to have a birdie that would giggle like me, make the noises of our dryer, call our dogs, say love and make kissie noises. <3 I loved him!

I need help with my budgie ... hes a male ... with no cagemate ... His Name Is Ringo :D

I want him to trust me ... but i dont know how to make him trust me ....

i wanna get him out of the cage but he is very wild and has never been out before ... do i have to train him a bit for him to go out of the cage and play or i only take him out??? btw im asking because i dont know if he will wanna go back into the cage :S

@DjNiko17 oh and try not to give him food out of the cage, because then he has got no reason to go back to his cage.

@DjNiko17 give him lots of attention. when he trust you, you can hold your hand up and put some food he likes on it, like a piece of apple. before you let him out of the cage, first let him trust you. if you've done that, just open the cage, he will go himself. it may take some time. don't worry to much when he's out of the cage, because the first time he will do that, he will probably sit still for a long time. he's just looking and getting used to the environment.

@DjNiko17 No problem. Keets are trusting by nature but fear hands, so first get your face close to your bird and talk real friendly; they love praise, so call it gorgeous. Watch the face feathers - when they fluff up the bird is relaxing and you are getting through! Tight feathers mean fear, so back off a bit but keep talking; keets love sound and fear silence. Play the radio, soft voices to get your bird used to yours. Patience! Some scared birds need up to a year but KEETS LOVE LIFE!

My first blue budgie talked surprisingly well. The little voice is so funny.

He mostly quit english after I brought him two budgie friends, but he's sure happy.

These things are amazing talkers.

My budgie calls me pervert(wife taught him that) laughs, curses, meows, imitates a squeaky door..etc. We love him but he is 7 years old now:(.
