First encountered Chet via Blaze Foley's MySpace page, Chet being a fan. We met in Austin on 18 Mar 09 where he performed at Nuno's during SXSW. This is his "Yellow Lightbulb" song, which I dub the Decent Day song (misleadingly, sorry Chet!!! Will repost). This encounter is yet one more reason why I often think I'm the luckiest, happiest gal in the world. Can't wax poetical enough about Chet O'Keefe's song-writing/musicianship talent and the spirit from which it springs. Unique, original. Do look him up: www.myspace.com/chetokeefemusic
wonder what he would sound like with a band behind him.

Wonder no more:
go to his myspace page under /chetokeefemusic
and if you want to hear "Please Mrs. Henry" the way Dylan wishes he might have pulled it off. here's Chet and his Farmer's Coop band:
go to his myspace page under /chetokeefe
Yep. He's a revelation.

Wait til you hear "Gamebird" - he just woke up one morning and wrote it. My crystal ball says he's glory-bound for sure.

Thanks Jimmy! Glad your discerning ear likes it! Sound / video quality not great, unfortunately, but it gets better in the subsequent clips. Ring the Bell !! I just found out it's his composition.
