This video is more or less a tribute video to the Macintosh and spirit of Apple.
Although Steve Jobs was one to not separate the cohesion of software and hardware, he and Apple still have one of the best OS's ever made.
This video is a celebration of that, thrown in with a little of the Hack attitude of Steve Wozniak, I hope it is not taken too seriously - it was fun to make and I've always enjoyed the entire OS X install process. The fact that it runs this well on an AMD system proves my point - it is a great OS!
There's another group that I wish to acknowledge and that's the friendly hackintosh community, folks at http://osxlatitude.com and http://insanelymac.com have been a great help in my ventures, and the guys who made it all possible- you know who you are - keep up the great work!
I know Apple will not ever release or license their software separately save for those things like iTunes & iCloud, so I keep this video around as a reminder for myself and others just how cool their software is and the legacy that is left behind.
Here's to the crazy ones. . .
About this setup:
it's an AMD Phenom 9550 quad core on an XFX nForce 750a motherboard with a GeForce 7300GS PCIe graphics card using AHCI / SATA hard drives.
