Before Montgomery County Ride-On purchased the same 2005 New Flyer C40LF's with the exact same Cummins Westport C Gas Plus and Allison B400R combo. Some of those buses were temporarily in service at the Gaithersburg Garage of The Ride-On in the summer of 2002 as a demonstration of low floor zero emission transits The Ride-On was intended to search for another purchase.
