i have 2 diffrent types of kar98! the kar98 is amazing acurate !!!!!! and they look sooOOoo awesome !!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D they are in dark nice wood! <3 thats why i chose kar98 :P but anyway i bet the Enfield No4 Mk1 is as good as a kar98! sorry for my bad english ! :P

From my point of view, as someone who has been shooting guns since 1967, I would say that both guns are outstanding in all respects. My personal preference is the Mauser, because I love the accuracy, but for someone who prefers a faster rate of fire, the Enfield is the best of the best. Take it from me, I have fired both guns!

Lee Enfield (My vote):
Cock on closing (smoother bolt, faster rate of fire)
10 round detachable mag (Higher capacity, however only detachable for cleaning)
No.4 has longer sight radius and peep sight for quicker sight line up/more precision
Mauser:
Dual forward locking lugs and one rear locking for stronger action
8mm Mauser more powerful round for slightly better accuracy at extreme ranges
Bolt doesn't require tools to disassemble
Rimless cartridge for easier reloading/more reliable feeding

@RPHELPS922 The Mauser 98 system utilizes a cock-on-opening system. You might be thinking of the Swede Mauser 96's, but it's not my understanding that these ever saw a theatre of combat.

-No.4 has a better sight picture with the peep sights, which makes lining up targets faster.
Mauser: -8mm cartridge has slightly better trajectory at extreme range,

I own both, a K98K 8mm and an Enfield No4 Mk1 .303 British, and the only thing that the Enfield has above the Mauser is the 10 round removable magazine. That's it. With a stripper clip close at hand the Mauser is not far behind on the amount of lead it can throw in a short time span. I believe the Mauser to be more durable, better designed, more accurate and easier to shoot with the cock on close bolt. Just my thoughts though.
