  • Big Bird better get his two cents in this. The nostalgia factor will at least attract a larger adult audience.

  • Wait, Kelvin Clash, the guy who plays Elmo, lost his uncle?

  • Sweet

  • It seems to me like something must have led them to do this episode and if so then I wonder what it was

  • @NickelBackFTW96 Actually that's elmo's uncle jack that died

  • awww elmo's mummy :) so cute

Big Bird and Oscar's Muppeteer Caroll Spinney(who is a man) has been performing them since episode one. I can't stand that the main focus is on Elmo now, but he isn't able to work as much as he used to. I read in the SS 40th anniversary book that they've been training a new person to perform him in the future. But like Kermit and Ernie after Jim Henson passed away, Big Bird and Oscar will never be quite the same.

  • I Rremember The Starsky And Hutch Episode When The Cop Killed Jr's Dad , And Starsky Was Upset , And Doby Explained To Jr That His Friend Maurice Had To Stay On Trial For The Store Hold Up , And Raymond T, Andrews Has Been Suspended Without Pay For 90 Days , We Lost My Black Lab Shadow After His Battle With Cancer , But It's Been Very Tough For Us , Love Scott Orvik

  • I really liked the show tonight because it kinda helps me deal with my favorite aunt's death...it was to soon.....I miss her to much...and it is really hard to deal.....

  • @TomatoSpud5 i highly agree. when Mr. Hooper passed away in real life, Sesame Street pulled out all the stops with making an episode where Big Bird deals with his passing which was a huge thing for it's time. i think that episode won SS an award for it also.

  • @LamangoKaijura its his aunt i think
