I mean you are right, I would like to believe there is indeed a separation of Church and state but the fact is the majority of the politicians and Americans running this country are religious, mainly Christian, and they can't keep two things separated. It is sad when they attempt to pass bills forcing belief down others

@reymatt76 and that term in God we trust shouldn't even be there.The truth is most of our founding father are either agnostic or atheist, look it up, or even if they believe in something they are more likely to be spiritual. They want a nation free from religion supremacy like how it was in England.They understand there are different religion thus the freedom of religion, because if there is no separation of church and state, then we would have other religions (Hindu,Islam etc) in govt as well.

@PeaceOfTruth How can you say we have a separation of church and state when our currency has the words "in god we trust" printed on it? That's just for starters. The whole separation of church and state and freedom ideals are just two more scoops of bullshit that we're fed growing up and that we believe in despite overwhelming evidence to the contrary all around us.
