Let me make it clear before somebody accuses me once again in copying other people's designs. I am not a fashion designer- I am an architect with a passion for drawing. Yes, all designs are either my interpretations of costumes from movies or were worn by celebrities on the red carpet .
I repeat, I am here not to show you my own ideas or to teach you how to DESIGN. The only thing I could show you is my drawing technique and how do I present fabrics, figures or colors in illustrations.

  • what are you using to color it is it water paint

  • @SimRose1 Yes, it's watercolors

  • Hi ! I'm very impressed with your paintings and have a question. I'm practicing with watercolours to do fashion illustrations but I find very difficult to understand how fabric should lay on the body. I have planty of ideas for costumes but if I have to lay it on the model it looks unreal and hard. Do you have any tips how to understand where you should put the shadows and make it easier for me ? I'll be grateful for any information for the very begginer ;)

  • @WMalinach Did you try it first to learn how to render figures in light and shadow? I mean the simple way, starting with a flat form (like a circle) and making it to a solid ball by rendering the third dimension (thickness). Did you work with planes- light, halftone, shadow and reflected light? If you understand how to think of mass, bulk and weight of an object, you'll get easier in constructing fabrics.

  • So yuo pain instead of draw with pencil. Is it easier painting? Can u get the same outcome with coloring?

  • @MrsIlovedancexoxo In this video I use watercolors, but if you have seen my other videos, you'll notice I use also colorpencils, markers and inks. I cannot tell what is better paint or color pencils because it depends on things like the character of the fabric, your way of presenting the dresses and the imoression you want to achieve.
