how do you have this many playing together online? unless its system link, but are you using a lan switch? if so can you play online if you link a switch to a router-modem?
@whosbluegrass We do both system link and xbox live matches. We use two 8 port switches that are connected to separate ports on the router. Works just fine.
@ugapro alright cause id like to host some lan's in the future, but id hate to go out and buy a switch and not have it my internet work properly, whenever i have two friends come over and we try to play online using my wireless router it never works well, usually kicks someone off or is super slow. but when its just me and my family (xbox live, and 3 comps online can be running at once) the internet works fine. low bandwidth maybe? or just too much for my router? let me know if you have an idea
@whosbluegrass OK I think I see what the problem is. Your online experience should always be great if you only have the 3 computers and xbox live because the band width your computers require for internet/browser traffic is WAYYY lower than xbox live, even with three computers. I had the exactly same issue when I had DSL with a standard wireless router. What your gonna need is a gaming router or an advanced router that will allow you to setup Internet bandwidth restrictions.
@whosbluegrass We have the the D-Link DGL-4500 gaming router. This router can tell the difference between regular computer/browser packets and gaming packets. and it doesn't stop there. You can also set it up for PC games like Crysis and it will restrict or slow the traffic for other services that are running in the back ground while your playing PC games too.
@TheKillerJayX91 We were planning on doing a Black Ops LAN but we haven't had enough interest in it from our customers to do one. We were thinking of doing a free LAN night just to let a select few of our customers play so that they can start some buz about by way of mouth. And no our eyes don't hurt sitting near because the HD flat screens are only 22 inchers. Normal viewing distance is about a foot and half to about 3-4 feet.
