  • @666890666 very true

  • @franco121760 We the Europeans learn the British English because it's the official language, not because we're european/we're UK's neighbours...when you learn a language, you learn the official one, not a dialect or whatever...

  • I know it's harder to pronounce for us Brazilians than the American, but I do love British accent and as an English teacher, I teach everything in British pronunciation. My accent inevitably is Brazilian, but I try to imitate British as much as I can.

    Of course, like there are many Portuguese accents here, there are lots of accents within UK and USA.

  • sound like harry potter lol :) i watched this on 2011 , i feel very classic XD

  • great

    it is very useful 4 Arabians

  • @Schizopantheist In the Hebrides Islands off Scotland they also speak a form of Irish called Scots Gaelic. Not many Gaelic words in English. Smithereens is one.

  • @PIANOPHUNGUY Mostly English is spoken in both Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. But in the Republic of Ireland especially you will find people who speak the Irish language ( a celtic language- Irish Gaelic; according to wikipedia it is called 'Gaeilge' by those who speak it). People who speak it fluently are a minority.

    There are also some other small dialects spoken there(such as among the Irish travellers).

  • @ToMsPiErCiNg16 No, generally people don't speak using brackets/parentheses. (Haha, sorry;

    'What is your name' is perfectly acceptable, but in real situations it's likely to sound stilted to a native speaker)

  • @jayc342009 lol, thanks ;)
