BUT I DIGRESS-Heavy weight Kickboxers have great speed, that is one aspect they train for in K1, they also have spacing abilities, which exceed that of the average boxer, due to them being able to measure their opponent in order to strike with all of their limbs. As for foot work, being a boxer does not magically give you foot work, since modern kickboxers train for this as well :)

  • @turnbacktime

BUT, in the (kickboxing lower weights), that speed, footwork and spacing ability, they do have, and much more. The level of talent is very great in the lower weights, and these guys have been training all their life to become world class strikers. Training to use their whole body as a weapon, and using the largest muscles in their body with great speed and power, and endurance to attack their foe, this muscle is in the legs, and you have to be athletic to use.

Mighty Mo got his butt kicked many times in K1, just look at his record, for not having great kickboxing skills. Mighty Mo only had 2 pro fights, and you are already deriding him?? As for what you said about footwork, spacing and speed, that in general may be true for the heavy weight kickboxer, since the level of talent is not that great in (general) in K1's heavy weight division.

  • @sovietamerican2 Might Mo's strength purely lies in his Punching power which is insane, but when you fight boxers their leg movements (footwork) speed and spacing ability is far superior to kickboxers and thats why he struggles.

  • @turnbacktime

Being able to kick gives Mo a strategic advantage in that he can use his strength, which is Punching, without having to kick or worry about kicking. He does not position himself in a vulnerable position because he can kick and has trained as a kickboxer for years. Although he has a bad record in K1, and got a kickboxing lesson from Peter Aerts, he is a very powerful puncher, just ask 4-11 Botha.

  • Mo will always loose against good queensbury fighters with a good jab. But he can KO almost anyone if his overhand right connect.

  • smh mighty mo sorry ass make samoans look bad ! ol fat outta shape ass nigga !! go get in shape fat boy ! lol

  • @jobese01 yeah, but also mo wiped floor with botha in k1.. its not about sport, its about fighter!

  • at 52 seconds Mo walks straight into a counter against a complete novice - classic.

Goes to show boxing is 10 x more sophisticated than these other grab and choke combat sports!
