Nice presentation about the Franks box concept. I thought I was the fist to explain how they really work- I know now you were. Excellent job and keep up your great research.

@emflocater I do believe that EVPs have some meaning, but to what extent I'm not sure of yet. Some believe they are ghosts or spirits, some believe they are something entirely different all together. Right now everyone seems to be more interested in capturing EVPs rather than the science behind them. If I wasn't so scared of the prospect of another voice communicating with me from thin air I'd be setting up control experiments left right and center.

@NitroCharged ah I see. Thanks for pointing that out.

@sevenupcan - By looking at the signal using audio editing software, you would see the signal switching off and then back on every tenth of a second. Because STP has 3 receivers going all started at a different time - you would see a continuous signal with no interruptions.

Very interesting....thank you for the explanation.
This was a really good explanation of the Frank's box and how it works. I am really grateful. I am curious. Although you have done the maths that demonstrate a channel is only open for 1 tenth of a second, have you monitored it to see if this is actually happening? (If that's even possible).

Hi sevenupcan. Not sure I understand your question but will try my best to answer. As to monitoring the stations, the radios are digital readout and the speed of a radios scan will dictate the amount of time it will stay on a station or precisely a frequency. Some radios can scan faster or slower then others. Some radios are modified so you can control the speed of the scan. You will visually see the scan by watching the LED readout on a digital radio as the station numbers pass.

Continued......The math for the scan time is very accurate. One only has to take their car radio or home stereo and manually turn your knob to scan. By doing this you can hear the difference based on if you turn the scan knob slowly or fast. The faster the scan the less time it can stay on any radio station. With digital radios, the invention of the phase-locked loop (PLL) essentially eliminates the drift issue especially on the FM band. Hope this helps or answers your question

Hey Don,
Have you worked with the Mini Box from paranormal systems? Looks similar. Expensive though....

I am familiar with the mini box but never personally used it. It appears to use the same concepts as the newer Frank's Boxes which use the sweep method. Would like to test one out and report my findings! It is very expensive but cheaper versions I feel will funtion just as well. The trick is to record your sessions and then go back and review the session just like doing standard EVP. You will be amazed at what you missed!
Sincerely
