Amu is the story of Kaju, a twenty-one-year-old Indian American woman who returns to India to visit her family. The film takes a dark turn as Kaju stumbles against secrets and lies from her past. @brahmmaputra Sikhs don't hail from the Brahmin caste, read your history again. They are actually Kshatriyas (warrior caste), and so were all the Guru's. However, caste system plays no role for Sikhs anyways.

@dalbirk there have been movies in the past released by sikhs on 1984, but u have to realize that politicians were involved in this as well. some even account that the great amitabh bachchan was there as well before his movie career took off. when justice wasn't given 24 years ago, do u really think it will be given now? they made a SIKH prime minister apologize to the Sikhs for 1984 massacres. I love india but as a sikh this will always haunt me.

The 1984 genocide ( not anti - Sikh riots ) was the biggest in the history of independent India , with 12 , 000 - 20 , 000 Sikhs being killed all over India nearly 4000 of them in Delhi alone , property worth hundreds of crores destroyed . I was there. 9 am the shots rang out. We ran home from school. The trucks burnt and burst for 12 days. Then we went back to school. Our sikh friends came to class with their hair cut. End of the story.
