A funny little glitch I found while playing Crysis Warhead on Very High @ 1440x900:)

Also if you're running a x64 OS, there should be an icon in the start menu to run Crysis 64 bit. I highly recommend this, it really likes 64 bit and Windows 7 is by far the best at it, if you can do that, I'd expect a good 10% increase.

Man thinking back, they really were thinking away ahead when they made this engine, truly amazing.

Bring the NPC's from Battlefield:BC2 into CryEngine3, and walla, best overall graphics engine to date, by a long shot :)

Oh sorry, I should have looked at your info, you're on a different OS and Ram, but it should hardly matter. I'm on Win 7 x64 Pro with 8GB DDR3, but still you should get hella better fps than 35! Even with 8xmsaa. Enlighten me, I'm curious :)

@HypnoticSuggestion well on just stock very high i get like 40-45 but i never really play with it on that, i use configuration tweaks that make all the visuals much better and more intense which drops my fps by 5-10. mind you my ram is shit.. 400mhz, lol fail. im getting some new ram, 1000mhz patriot ram :p

Ah, yeah the memory will certainly help, dual or triple channel, either way that will remove a bottleneck for sure.

Really that's all, 35fps average? Is that your average or the benchmark tool? Bro with your memory (I'm assuming it's dual channel DDR3 1066mhz) and Cpu, plus a 4890 you should see great frame rates, especially with such a low resolution, not even pushing the memory bandwidth of the card at all.

Are you maybe running some really hardcore hires packs? Otherwise you should let me give you a copy of my config, I bet you average 55-65fps on max settings, 4xmsaa, 8xaf :) Or do you have AA maxed?

Dude you have the same PC as me, cool. My friend (Manager at Best Buy woot!) calls with a HP Elite in stock, I had accumulated hardcore rebates, plus a clearance to make room, plus a card in the mail, add it all up I got it for uber cheap, dropped in my XFX Radeon 4890 (950mhz Core | 1025mhz Mem) and 850watt Psu, and it's a dream. Totally unnecessary to go for higher than Phenom II 925 IMO, 2.8ghz plenty... I'll OC if I ever need to
