  • Great review... what's the difference between this guitar and the Fender Custom Shop Clapton? Thanks.

  • @MarshallAmpMan The Custom shop is totally hand assembled by one of the Custom shop luthiers. . Is it a hand selected two piece alder body. From what I have been told by Fender these are the same guitars Eric gets.

the production model is made on an assembly line. it is still amazing, but if you want exactly what Clapton has in his hands, then get the custom shop.

  • 1 last question, what would you buy? EC strat or American deluxe strat hss?

  • @jncoman69 Well my friend... that is your choice...But from what you told me I would lean towards the American Deluxe. Either one is a strong guitar.

  • Ohhh ok i see. Its like putting an OD or booster pedal at the begining of ur chain right? And even the mid boost its in 0 it actualy send a very smooth boost signal. In fact i felt in love with the tbx, in fact thats the reason i wanted an EC strat. But im going to check the american deluxe hss and try to choose between those 2 (very difficult cause the 2 have unique features )

  • @jncoman69 Yes exactly! just a built in boost.

  • What is the name of the song you played toward the end?

  • What settings are you using on the De ville ? :O

  • Mark, probably the best description and demo I've seen on the Web for the EC Strat. You went thru all the pickups and tone settings at just the right pace. (BTW: I'm the guy that won the hand signed EC Strat in the Fender Contest from Guitar Player in 1993) In my opinion, the EC Strat(Standard or Custom Shop) is the best overall Strat Fender has ever made. Cheers!

  • great review :) you may have changed my mind to get one of these (i was comparing both the SRV and the EC strats)...

PS: could you review Chuck Norris's stratocaster?

  • @JuanBluesMan i forget, wat amp are you using?

  • very good review, i want that guitar. cheers from argentina
