Is simplr thn u thnk. Marco (as n many ocasions) hs a confederat (no twin). Th tape playr he's carrying has Marco's voice recordd. As they start they both run upstair to the 1st flor and Marco show his face. Then the confederate runs upstair as Marco does it downstair. As he gets upstairs we c Marco for a split of a second. Tis' simply a picture. I dnt know if the actually threw the phone, but it culd b attached to a string to avoid break. Marco is already wating for it downstair and "catchs it"

Everyone is over simplifying this. Marco actually has a twin brother named Polo. That is why you can see his face running up the building and at the top of the building. If you look closly one of them has a unibrow and the other one does not
