Established by Monir Zandghoreishi, local designer and International Academy of Design & Technology (IADT-Seattle) fashion design program chair, is offering 12 local up-and-coming fashion design students a chance to show the world what theyre made of in the form of a fabulous red dress. Taking its cue from TVs Project Runway, Nancys Sewing Basket, Seattles leading fabric store, will provide each of the twelve contestants $200 worth of fabric. IADT will provide the sewing room, with only 16 hours for each student to create their vision in red. The event culminates with a gala fashion show at The Fairmount Olympic Hotel.
