  • shoulda bought a rotary lift, or better yet a symmetric lift thats rated for the weight of the van

  • d d auto

  • How extremely dangerous.... What were they ever thinking lifting a heavy vehicle like that on a hoist like that. Down right negligent.

  • @mccarterjg yeah, i was thinkin blue wrench too

  • wtf I was expecting the stupid truck to crash!

  • 1500 pounds try closer to 15000lb, and i would of not hammered that pin out i would of just cut the lift with a torch

  • In my young years as a mechanic , i tried to lift a f250 double wheel once...it did lift...but felt down from about a 2 feet high back on his wheel...Scary..no damage but it was the only time..Nevertheless , i used to lift econoline just like that all day long and never had any problem...Do my own inspection of my lift just to make sure that it is up to my standard of security. Sometime you see car that are leaning toward one side...Not only not balanced but not leveled...Seen a car flipped once

  • This is a "Versymetric" lift...It will do the trucks and vans but the vehicle MUST be centered on the lift. You CANNOT put these larger vehicles on the lift asymmetrically. Also, the lift owner has probably not done any inspections. Wedge anchors should be tightened every 30 days with a torque wrench to specs. Never use an impact!!! I have been installing and repairing lifts and shop equipment for 26 years....we see all kinds of techs who fail to lift the vehicle properly

  • Tighten concrete anchors daily, by hand, not with impact wrenches. Asymmetric lifts are not designed for contractors vehicles.
