Playing on my "newly modified" (by me) Panasonic "SwingWay" portable AM-FM radio is one of 6 Bobby Sherman records from Post Cerals in 1972. This square cardboard record (with soundsheet overlay) was a free prize in your cereal box. This was my favorite Bobby Sherman song at the time. I enjoy restoring old interesting record players from the 60's & 70's and making minor improvements on them so I can safely play both old & new records on them. I will eventally feature some of my other record players. Please comment or send a message.

  • I think Bobby Sherman became more famous BECAUSE of the cardboard records!

  • Oh, happy day! :-)

  • My hubby and I were just talking about the 45's that came on cereal boxes. Keep hunting and finding this kind of stuff. IT is so COOL...

  • Wow!! I was just thinking about this for the first time in 30 years so decided to go and look it up. The two songs I remember are this one and "It Boggles the Mind" Both of mind got wrecked within a few weeks. Totally cool memory!!

  • Interesting info...thanks for sharing

  • The record shown here is one of 6 different Bobby Sherman records from Post Cereals in Canada all with the same photo. In the U.S. different picture/songs variations exist. They were cut off the back of the box, where as ours were simply inserted inside the box

  • I had the blue one too...played it to death till my kid sis bought the album...always and still is my favorite Bobby Sherman song too

  • I had the same one...played it to death till my kid sis bought the album...still love this song

  • thank you every one here on you tube. these memories and great comments are wonderfull

  • This is cool on so many levels. I used to babysit for the R.N. who trained Bobby in EMS I love Bobby Sherman and like every 50 year old imagined ending up somehow with him. Love the record, song and COOL record player!
