East Grand Adventure Race, May 14, 2011
Beginning on Stetson Mountain Wind Farm and ending on the Baskahegan Stream in Danforth, this 20 mile race includes an off trail compass run, Mt. biking, canoeing and a climbing wall challenge. Hosted by the East Grand High School's Outdoor Education program and sponsored in part by Ski Rack Sports of Bangor and First Wind. 64 racers took part in the race in eight divisions. Some did it as a relay. The race is designed to get teens and adults outside for some good wholesome physical activity while travelling through rugged and remote eastern Maine wilderness.
