  • It is said that Taoism is derived from the Advaita philosophy of Hinduism.

  • So Indian ideas are today and impediment to economic progress in China and Indians should be proud of it? I guess it makes sense. It gives the Indian economy some time to catch up.

  • @xXBlackxRebelXx actually it has been widely speculated that the Indian sage Boganathar travelled to China to teach the nondual/yoga philosophy. It is said that he later reincarnated to Lao Tzu.

Of course it may not be true, but I think it is possible, given that Tao and Brahman are essentially non different.

  • @BuddhaShiva1 I wouldnt exactly say that. Tao is more like "The Way" in which the universe unfolds. Its more like "the ultimate principle of living". Its root is definitely something a Hindu must have introduced LOL. The etymology of Tao is definitely too much a coincidence to be related to an Indo European cognate.

  • yes, bhoganathar a disciple of Agastyar became Lau Zhu and passed HInduism onto the Chinese.
