i have one question, why did they need to blow up the towers? i mean surely just crashing planes would have been enough to go to war with the Muslim world. blowing the towers seems very risky (because too obvious and may fail) and unnecessary. Now there might be something in the insurance contracts saying that the buildings needed to be taken down or there might be another obvious reason that i have missed. if someone has an explanation please help me here - thanks

@MrOjmej The towers were full of asbestos which would have cost billions to remove and replace easier to just demolish them also lucky larry silverstein had just taken out an insurance policy in the months prior to 9/11that specified a payout for each plane hit maybe he also included a payout clause for a collapse and of course building 7 which was also demolished contained the hq of the secret services thus destroying the evidence of any secret service involvement.
