http://www.lockergnome.com/social/2012/01/23/facebook-adds-new-apps-to-timeli... - When we say that someone's sharing "TMI," we're trying to let them know that they're giving us a little too much information than is necessary for drawing a conclusion about whatever it is that they're talking about. Usually, we'll say this when they give us intimate details about their romantic life that we'd rather not know ("Eww, Mom and Dad! I don't care about what you did on Valentine's Day! TMI!"), but TMI can also be applied to data that might be turned around to bite the one sharing it in the behind — such as Foursquare check-ins that reveal to potential burglars, employers, or college admissions officials the sorts of things that you get up to in your spare time. Stop oversharing!

Owners of Google (Sirgay) and FaceBook (Zuckerberg), keep too much information and rarely delete it. But, they sure share it with advertisers.
If YouTube didn't have 1.2 billion plus users, I wouldn't have used it.

Like if someone you barely knew asked how you were and you answered it honestly. Or taxi drivers telling you their life story.
