Karla.. you just made it into my cool book, just for knowing WHEN Mozart wrote 'Requiem'... the rest of your knowledge base (knowing the difference between the two pieces, their composers, etc) just skyrocketed my opinion of you... Great pickup.

One of the best films of all time, with one of the best bands of all time. Beautiful <3

@osbabygurl ummm it was not composed by Mozart he composed a piece called requiem this piece is requiem for a tower which is a rearrangement of Lux Aeterna by Clint Mansell written for the movie RFAD

The song is called Requiem for a Dream and it's original composer was Mozart but recently the Kronos Quartet has taken their own spin on it. It's amazing and every movie trailer i see it played on gives me the chills. This music is just so amazing!

i think the original composer was mozart... I'm not entirely sure though...

@Luvs2trish Lux Aterna is Clint Mansell's creation alone-as is Summer Overture-it's a remix of the original & is is HIS COMPOSITION ALONE.I'm 100% pos about it-look it up if u have 2--I've loved Darren Aronofsky & Clint Mansell 4 a long time & C.M.is given credit when due;conversely,in Black Swan-Tchaikovsky was used for Swan Lake & given credit.C.M.composes his own music, his own scores & he is given credit-eg:Black Swan-where he alone was not solely used & Requim for a Dream,Pi,The Fountian..

@greenbird283-sorry-didn't see u already saw it in Requiem for a Dream-But-Clint Mansell-u can get all his stuff on iTunes&he does most of the scoring 4 Darren Aronofsky's movies(Requiem for a Dream,Pi,The Wrestler,The Fountian, Black Swan)sorry-didn't see ur comment up top; hope I didn't offend :)
Why does everyone keep saying it's by Mozart? Mozart's "Requiem" was composed in the mid 1791. THIS is the orchestrated version Clint Mansell's "Lux Aeterna" (the eternal light). not, "Requiem" (Sweet Overture) by Mozart, that's a completely different song.
