My Dad, Leon Payne, wrote this song in 1938, while waiting for a bus in California to take him home, to Texas, to his during mother. He was 21.

@alexvh32 Hey Alex, thanks for check'n out my video. Yeah I prefer to play it in the key of "C" (2 semitones down), rather than "D". Just my preferance I guess, however if you check you can see that the scale intervals are the same and correct just in a different key.
