Sometime in 1969, around the time of the release of Abbey Road, a rumor started. It was a rather silly rumor claiming that Paul McCartney was, in fact, dead. He had supposedly died in a car accident sometime before Sergeant Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was made in 1967. In normal circumstances this rumor would not have gained popularity but a lot of eerie evidence began to pile up. Remember The Beatles had not been on tour since 1966 and Paul spent most of his time on his farm and in the studio. No one, in the States at least, had seen Paul live in public since '66. The remaining three Beatles supposedly had left clues on every album since Sgt. Pepper's to tell the fans the truth. Paul of course had been replaced by a sound alike and a look alike so The Beatles could continue as a group.

  • The coincidence of the whole,"Pepper" thing, done in 1964, I mean, this is an amazing coincidence. I was hoping you might have audio from the Pepperpots LP.

    Weird stuff.

It never seems to end. Just more and more questions that never seem to be answered.

  • @dunskie Yes I agree with you. It just gets weirder and weirder when you start investigating the death of Paul McCartney. I have put out a song with Billy Pepper and the Pepperpots now so you can hear how they sounded.

  • Gee - the REAL Paul's family must have been incredibly understanding when it came to someone else pretending to be their lost loved one. And to think that the record companies never tried this again with the likes of Elvis and Kurt Cobain?? Why not? They could have continued making money there too.

I don't have enough of a character count remaining to type all of the reasons why this whole "Paul is dead" thing is a load of crap...

  • Havent your released yet these people dont do it for the money they do it because they can. And yes they have done it before and after but this situation was unique because it was the first time they did it with a pop star.

  • @dylankaan2002 Oh wow that comment is two years old. O_O

  • @Twisted4000 YOU ARE DEAD YA DUMBO! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • That picture of the body or his body whatever was just a clip taken from The Magical Mystery Tour movie, it was suppose to be headless they cut it out, although I don't know whose body it is

  • @TheBeatlessssss You're totally right! Not even I looked the same from 5 to 6 years old, and I don't think people change a lot in that time. All in all it's a nice comparison to do - even old people change a lot in 10 years (and I'm not talking about the wrinkles lol.)

  • first he died in 1969, then in 1966 and now in 1965. for christ's sake, what will you say next, that paul mccartney never existed?

  • The one and only Billy Sheers.

  • I believe you. The body language of the band changed. The White album was everyones solo album. Everyone stopped taking Paul seriously I believe. The only one knighted. It is not that hard to pass off Beatle copies. Look at the Turtles Birds Weezer.

  • HE AINT DEAD HIS BODY MATURED OVER TIME YOU COCK.
