@666Hypocrisy666 I think its so that they can hear themsleves clearly, and maybe so others backstage can communicate to them? im guessing anyway, and i suppose it protects them from the sound too.

I've wondered for a while what are the things in the band members ears on a gig. Are they earplugs or some kind of headphones where they hear the metronome or the song?
