LOL! I own a 696 and my friend a 1098s

we both meet once a week at the local bike meet and we ride together at times and seriously my 696 drowns out the 1098 and it has termis. when i bought the bike even the ducati dealer said it sounds bassier than any other duc he has heard with termis. Obviously the clutch sound from the 1098 is louder than the 696 but the termis,No. The 696 engine was made for termis not the termis for the engine.

another thing to consider is camera audio. it's not a good representation of true sound. i've seen and heard just about every late model duc with full termis in person and the 1098 was by far the loudest. when i hear someone say that a 696 is bassier than a 1098 it leads me to think they've never heard one in real life.

yeah...no. my friend has a base model 1098 with a full termi system and i'll bet the 696 sound would be snuffed out by the 1098 roar. i've test ridden the 696 and it's mild compared to the sbk rumble, to say the least.

The new 696 with these exhausts sound better than the 1098,seriously. the 1098 is more of a raspy sound while the 696 is a bomp bomp bomp
