CLIP 1 OF 22 !!!!

After doing some tweaking, I'm now finally having some luck uploading half decent quality vid to Youtube.

Here's the 1967 Grey Cup, between the Hamilton Tiger-Cats, and the Saskatchewan Roughriders.

Gotta love those commercials.

I too am an American who enjoys watching the CFL whenever it's broadcast down here in the states which is far and few between. I've always loved the fact that every city gets to host the Grey Cup so if it's in Edmonton, Calgary or Saskatchewan in late November the game is usually played in frigid elements...and the place is packed! Love the LaBatt's commercials too!

As an American raised on the NFL, this is wonderful to see. Amazing to find this on YouTube. Funny how the videotape 1967 Super Bowl I was supposedly erased by NBC & CBS but a copy was recently found and is currently being restored. This clearly shows who ever made and preserved this tape, whether CBC or the CFL, the Canadians care more about their sports (and TV) history than the NFL or the U.S. TV networks. The 1971 Super Bowl V videotape has supposedly never turned up either.

These clips are a gold mine. This is when the Tiger-Cats were really good. Great to see Joe Zuger and John Barrow but it would have been nice to see Bernie Faloney too. It touched my heart to hear all the compliments given to Ralph Sazio, I only watched a couple of clips but will savor watching the whole game another time.

Remarkably good film quality. Landsdowne looks more or less the same all these years later. I must say that Lancaster had one of the most putrid games i've ever seen a QB have in a big game. If he'd have been able to put together any kind of drives during the game they'd have had a real shot of winning. Great seeing the commercials too.

Johnny Esaw how long did he do pbp for CTV? When we got cable and ESPN in 1980, CTV games were called by Pat Marsden.

Now this is classic stuff. Coming from an American who's learning about the CFL, I say you guys have a great brand of football that tops the NFL. IMO! :)
