I had the great honor to accompany him in the vocal studio of Tino Pattiera in Vienna,{they were good friends from their days in Dresden.It was many, many years ago, but still unforgettable! Of course I saw his performances and there is no one who truly can compare.

Max Lorenz IS the Heldentenor! I remember him as a student in Vienna.....singing Herod in SALOME, DrumMajor in WOZZECK.... What a great artist.

There is a very good (and cheap) DVD about Max's life: something like "Wagner's Mastersinger and Hitler's Siegfried". Posted in parts around here.
