Here's another video of a Robin Bullock arrangement, this time playing along to Belle of Lexington/Fourty Miles to Lousville. I'm playing on my new mandolin, a JBovier F5 Tradition. Purchased from luther Kyle Dunn out of the Mando Shop in Tallahassee, FL. Can't say enough good things about him and his work. Hope you enjoy, don't mind the couple of flubs in the vid=), and stay tuned for more!

  • Awesome---very well done. I read your comments to Kyle ---just purchased a Michael Kelly and can't wait to get started as I am a beginner. If you don't mind me asking how many years have you been playing a mandolin?

  • Appreciate it george! Good luck with the Michael Kelly mando I'm sure you won't be disappointed. I've been playing mandolin for a little over 2years now and its still just as fun as the first day I picked one up.

  • well played - canned music wasn't too intrusive, just right - great sounding instrument!

  • thanks a lot bill, that means a lot coming from a person with so much talent.

  • i'll suck yo dick

  • What a fine light touch you have. Too many acoustic players feel compelled to hammer on their instruments and blast everyone away. The real beauty in music comes from subtlety, and you understand that. Way to go!

  • Nice work on the mando. I have had a JBovier for the past 2 years and I wish I could make it sound like that. JBovier mandos ROCK

  • I don't own a mandolin ... yet. I've also been in touch with Kyle. Super nice and very knowlegable guy. Your playing sets a high bar I may never reach but it is really nice to hear a JBovier played well.
