Minister Amir Ali has accused the Sri Lanka Muslim Congress of meeting the requirements of the tiger terrorists. Even though the party represented the Muslim community, the Minister said it hesitates to appear on behalf of the Muslims.
Participating in a ceremony at the Saddam Hussein village in Eravur, Minister Ali said they are even prepared for an open debate with the Muslim Congress leader on behalf of the rights of the community. The Muslim Congress was giving false pledges during elections and deceiving the people. At the same time they pledge to safeguard the party. He said the Muslims should not be hoodwinked by such pledges. He added that these measures were being adopted to safeguard Rauf Hakeem's power.
