"the shadow of your smile". Guess she was
waiting for Johnny Mathis to record a
superb "intro". It's all a fantasy. I have
always imagined Barbra and Johnny singing
this great movie song together.

beauty that watching her movies your eyes were fixed
to the screen image . i thought she was amazingly beautiful
in ELEPHANT WALK, and in the SANDPIPER, and in
CAT ON A HOT TIN ROOF. Her empathy to others knew
no boundaries..to Michael Jackson, to Monty Clift, to
Rock Hudson, to Mike Todd, to so many causes that
helped so many. This is a tribute to you, Elizabeth Taylor.

Very sad day today. The news says Elizabeth Taylor has died.

A great actress and legend.

If only it was that easy. Its not like it was when us Baby Boomers and those before were young. Social Networking these days does not mean catching the eye of someone across the dance floor from you; or being introduced in person in a softly lit nightclub anymore. Its all done anonymously, with pseudonyms and a photo. The magic doesn't begin from seeing the person in the flesh first and then 'working on' the getting to know one and other, and observing for those signs of compatability.

Nicely put together...I wouldn't have known it was an edit, except there was a little screechy/scratchiness, but that could have been my laptop speakers. This is one of my favorite songs. Plus, I love Barbra, and Johnny Mathis, and Elizabeth Taylor. So really, this is one of the most awesome things I've stumbled upon on YouTube! Kudos!

I wish I could have replied to your wonderful post. No, lifeisdynamic, those days are gone. I am 40 and I think possibly SOME of my generation (gen X) were the last to really feel this. People do not trust one another and cannot see past a list of requirements. I am glad I was able to experience this at least once in life.

It is truly bizarre to watch the young generation now when they are at a nightclub. When I was young we would mill around and socialize to meet people. The current generation all clump together in little groups they came with and remain that way all night. It's very dis functional and anti social behaviour that's disturbing to watch.
