you might be surprised how many people without 'math brains' are working very successfully as engineers...it is never too late!

Hey smartass, the Falcon's engines, body, and capsule are all designed and built in-house by SpaceX. Elon Musk personally drafted the first couple designs of his rocket motors (and no, they are not J2s or J2Xs, which are NASA designs, so don't even) before he brought in other rocket engineers to help refine it.

so what? just because the falcon 9 isn't putting 280,000 lbs into orbit does not make it any less of achievement. more lift capacity = more energy = more fuel = more money, but that's mostly it (aside from the obvious engineering work that goes into re-engineering the rocket for higher payloads). the real challenge is to build the first space worthy design, which spacex achieved marvelously, and THEN to scale up

This is awesome. Regardless who who develops these spacecraft, whether they're NASA built, Soyuz or SpaceX, this is an incredible achivement. To build something that can take itself to space, dock with the ISS and (hopefully) return home safely is mind boggling. Well done to everyone involved, I hope Dragon returns safely.
