not all laws are just, especially when law is made without consent of all people. Everyone should know and understand the law fully before becoming an officer, if you dont know the law then you are subject to break it...citizen or cop.

hold on for a second mskkm, we have to consider the cop didnt know the situation at that time and Moats did leave the car after stopping, but the officers comments and purposely dragging out the moving violation and telling him to stop talking isn't justified..this is America, you have freedom of speech, is there a law that says a cop can lock you up for talking?the people pay the cops salary, they have to realize that.

understandable...but cops get a mental evaluation to begin with right?Im not saying all cops are bad,and i respect what you said, but if a force hires a person to represent them, what was the process of the hire?

It had nothing to do with him being a football player. I'd have done the same thing if my family member was dying. However, the officer wouldn't treat me like he treated him. Yes... All cops inherit a racist mentality. They treat every African-American like they're less then human. As a white person, I can't think of a way to deny the obvious.
Any excuse the officer makes is justified somehow... even if it makes no sense at all.

Drop the ticket? What horseshit!
I have had close, dear relatives die. Hell, I have driven to the hospital with a daughter dieing and four times with a wife in labor. I have been arrested on a clerical error (twice, second time with a drawn gun).
I have never raised my voice or disobeyed a policeman's order.
Being black is not a license for me to run from or yell at cops. Neither is my mother dieing. Being a celebrity is not a free pass tor me to ignore laws.

The officer was not threatened in any way. But he'll say it as an excuse for his actions. They were not running towards him, they were running inside the hospital. He doesn't have to threaten their life. By the way, I got pulled over once for running a red light IN TRAFFIC. I told the officer I was late to my first day at work. He let me go. Why? I'm White. I don't think police officer's should have guns. They're trigger happy and want to pull them out over anything.
Who was he protecting?
When the cop put his gun away to write the ticket after he realized there wasnt a threat and after hospital personel came outside to tell the cop the situation he should have just let him go then. I dont fault the police for pullin his gun because you dont know who you stoping and what there intentions are but he should have let him go after he heard what was going on.... So give the cop a permanent break from the force

the point of him dragging on and taking his time was blatant and on purpose...let me say that im talking about this situation and not cops in general..so if your a good cop there is no need to justify this

There will be opposition everywhere forever, especially to what is wrong in plain sight. I cant believe you dhook, you fail to add to the situation, if your going to outline it add more. Plus your talking about 'overpaid'..seem like your biter at something else, sad.
