Band Camp Wake-Up

Okay, so it's the last day of the Desert Edge HS Marching Band Camp.
Bryson won't wake up.
Eric blows his mellophone.
Chad jumps on the bed.
Nothing happens.
That's when I break out the gong.
LOL.

lol my camp has never done that. we are so happy for that lmao. i love my camp except for: 1. it gets into the 40s 2. the hills we walk up and down every day and 3. no service bc were ontop of a mountain. lol but yeah anyway how did you get the gong into the cabin? all our pit stuff is left in a shed for the night.

Our cabin was a big one with tons of rooms. There was like a meeting hall attached to the cabin a couple doors down from our room, and it's where the pit stuff was. Everyone was packing to leave, and pit hadn't packed; it just so happened that the equation worked out... Gong down the hall + sleeping kid = Epic Win!

Haha, this reminds me of a winter drumline practice we had at 6:30 am when one of the pit members walked up to the gong and hit it as hard as he could, shouting, "Wake up call!" It really does wake one up. XD

I was watching it and I didn't think much of the mellophone, and I sleep through people jumping on me, but when you broke out the gong I honestly laughed and said "Holy Sh**t!" Classic, man.

no but i've been woken up by the trumpet. Like when they just BLAST a note out of nowhere. and it cant even really be called a note. its just a BLAST. yea.. right next to your ear. i mean so close that you hit your head on it when you suddenly wake up.
