Jasmine's P.O.V
I woke up in a start. The bright red lights on the clock flashed 2:43 a.m. I sighed and quietly got out of bed and walked down the stairs. I saw the kitchen lights on and tip-toed in. Nick was sitting in a chair with his head in his hands and a glass of water on the table. I walked over to the table and sat next to him. He looked up, startled and then sighed.
"you scared me"
He sipped his water.
"sorry"
We sat there staring at the ground not saying anything.
"look Nick"
"yea, we need to talk"
He interrupted me. I nodded and sighed. This is probably about the hardest thing Im ever going to have to do.
"so, you wanna tell me whats going on. Even though Im pretty sure I know"
He said sourly.
"Nick, I-I cheated on you"
He looked down and shook his head.
"I knew it." He looked up, his chocolate brown eyes filled with salty tears.
"Look Jasmine, Im sorry that Im never with you. I cant help it. I have things to do."
"I know. But I just couldnt handle it"
"well maybe you should have thought about that before you committed to a relationship with me. You know how I am. I fall, and I fall hard."
He laughed sarcastically.
"I thought-"
He choked on his words and wiped his eyes.
"I thought you were really different than all the other girls"
He looked at me with sad eyes, which made my own tears fall.
"But your not. YOUR JUST LIKE EVERY OTHER GIRL. YOU WANT YOUR 5 MINUTES OF FAME WITH NICK JONAS. WELL CONGRATULATIONS"
He threw his hands in the air. I was sobbing at this point, knowing that i had really broken his heart.
"You got your fame."
"Nick I-"
"Stop just stop. Dont even talk to me. really, just dont"
He sighed and set his glass in the sink.
"Nick please"
I begged him. I grabbed his arm and turned him to face me. He narrowed his eyes at me and yanked his arm away from my grip. I sobbed loudly and hugged him tightly. He sighed and let his arms hang at his side.
"Nick"
I cried. He didnt say a word and his arms stayed at his sides. I looked up at him and saw he was looking up at the ceiling blinking back tears. I let go and he stepped back from me.
"I just dont understand. I tried hard to keep this relationship going."
I scoffed and rolled my eyes.
"yea sure. Thats why I got one call from you the whole time we were apart"
"Like you did any better. You didnt call me once!"
"But I texted you"
"Texts mean nothing"
"at least I tried Nick!"
I yelled. He rolled his eyes and crossed his arms.
"I was so sick and tired of you being so busy and never talking and no hugs, no late night movies no nothing"
I sighed and wiped away my tears
"you think I didnt miss any of that either? Well I did but I didnt run off to someone else."
He looked at me and trapped me between his body and the counter. My breath caught in my throat as he pressed his lips against mine. I smiled and wrapped my arms around his neck. A few seconds later, he pulled away and smirked at me.
"have a nice life babe."
My mouth dropped open as I watched Nick walk out of the kitchen and heard his footsteps run up the stairs and his bedroom door close. I cant believe he just did that.
Nicks PO.V:
I slid against my bedroom door and smiled. Paybacks a bitch. Thats what she gets for cheating on me. The smile on my face quickly faded when I heard Amanda talking
"No, no no. Joe go away. Nick, Kevin help me"
She muttered. I walked over to her and shook her gently.
"NO"
She screamed and sat up. I turned on the lamp by my bedside and smiled softly at her. She sighed and wiped her forehead with the back of her hand. I grabbed a shirt off the ground and dabbed the sweat off of her face. She smiled and leaned her head against my shoulder. I pulled her into my lap, slowly rocking her back and forth.
"Shhh, your okay. Everythings alright"
through the crack in my door I saw the hall light turn on and my door opened. The whole family was standing there concerned. I waved them away with my hand and Kevin closed the door.
"Nick, he hurt me"
I held her tighter and cooed into her ear.
"Shhh, it was just a dream. Your okay"
she started shaking with sobs and was breathing hard.
"Look at me"
I lifted up her chin until her eyes met mine.
"Breathe."
She nodded and took a couple deep breaths. I smiled and wiped away her tears.
"Now come on, you need some sleep"
I lifted her up and gently tucked her into the sheets.
"Goodnight"
"No, dont go. Please"
She stuck out her bottom lip and I sighed.
"Alright. Scoot over then"
Amanda moved over and I lied next to her. She closed any space between us and rested her head against my shoulder.
"Youre the best brother any girl could ask for"
I shook my head and closed my eyes
"You deserve way better than this family"
"No"
She argued. I sighed and kissed her cheek.
"Goodnight."
"Night Nicky"
