@masolv1...In Pittsburgh, where Ray Brown and Roy Eldridge call home, It is perfectly normal for top notch Jazz musicians to have spontaneous Jam Sessions and the hired Trio or Quartet would serve as a rhythm section. In 1961 the two most popular venues for these guys were the Crawford Grill and the Hurricane. This trio would have backed up a very young George Benson, Stanley and Tommy Turrentine, Jimmy Smith, etc....

Man, what a line up! Great choice of tunes, everyone working well together, totally in the pocket. Man, this stuff is great, it makes me want to practice more and play in front of people more. Totally inspirational!!!
