  • Bri3d, plug in the RF adapter and open it up. You'll see two pots -- tiny adjustments you can tweak with a small flathead screw driver. Playing with one of them should help you get a clear picture on your TVs. :)

  • thanks! i prefer my homemade composite cable anyway, but that gives me one more officially working part :)

  • if you had put ; behind the print statement I think the whole screen filled with hearts.

  • you're right, i didn't on purpose

    :)

  • Heh yeah after I watched the video I got out my vic 20 and tried hooking it up but I think I threw away the video cable :(

  • you can make one with paperclips and a standard RCA composite cable, that's how I made mine since I only had an RF cable and none of my TVs agreed with it. look for the pinout for video out and ground and attach them to the two wires (inner and outer/shield) in an RCA composite cable and it'll work great.

if i get the stuff out from behind mine soon i'll tell you which pins they are :)

  • Wow, what next? You gonna show how to write "Hello World"?

  • When I was a kid I used to POKE all the time...

What's impressive is that a machine of this era still runs. Put him in a museum.

I loved commodores. My VIC20 had an overheat issue. (No fan!) I put a 4" boxer fan behind the cartrige port and it worked fine.

  • does someone have count dracula on the vic-20? If so can you post a playthrough of it?

  • I think this is more nostalgia than an attempt to impress.

  • I like the PEEK command. ;-)

  • I'm sorry but this was just lame. You wrote a program that I learned when I was about 5 years old, and I'm suppose to be impressed?

    Sorry but I'm not.

  • Yeah but far slower.

  • And so much clearer than:

    LDA #$56

    STA $1E00

    ;)

  • The nuclear power plant was saved from certain destruction with 2 paper clips, some duct tape and a vic-20, on an all new Macgyver! Check local listings!

  • LOL... 'POKE' - LMAO! What a great command, POKE! Much better than 'movwf'.
