Hach Integrated Sensors (starring Ryan Sinclair)

There are many water parameters to be quantified to assess quality and contaminants in drinking water. One device, manufactured by the company Hach, measures six parameters including turbidity (a measure of water clarity), conductivity (a measure of salt content), and TOC (total organic carbon). No individual sensor provides enough information to fully characterize water quality; multiple parameters must be assessed, their signals integrated together, and compared to a database of contamination events. http://wsp.arizona.edu/
