  • uncouple operates lionel

  • I know how to solve the problem.

  • This was a very interesting test. I do have both kinds of track and this is now a concern too since I want to use mostly MTH. So your post was back in May, any update for now BEFORE I go and spend some more money on MTH?

  • I heard that you can run trains forever on rounded rails. The flat T-rails are still questionable and I hear that over long running time, the flat edge will leave wear patterns in the wheels a lot faster if you run trains often. I don't have any evidence or proof on that as of yet.

  • I don't like incompatibility issues with competitive company's. I have many operating rolling stock from both Lionel and MTH. I don't have the uncoupling tracks yet, now this bums me out. I heard the same thing from other people too, but thought it was just them, their dirty track, and their faulty equipment. I have Lionel Fastrack, MTH Realtrack and Atlas O track. I like all of them and can't really decide which one to go all out with.

  • MTH and Lionel are big competitors. The equipment has always been designed to operate exclusively for their own products.
