Growing up in Lynchburg during the 60s this is as close to a time machine as I can imagine....they used to play every morning M/F about 6 AM......and Irv Sharp hosted cartoons around eight- right after Cactus Joe and Lil' bitty Pete...great stuff!

My mother was from Daleville, Va and I was born in Roanoke, Va. (1947) Don, Red and the boys and Irv Sharp were all very nice men. I watched them every morn on local TV. Don said told us he started his unique style when he got out of the Army. Earl has hit it big with the three finger thing Don picked up from Snuffy so Don decided to go in another direction with his own way of pickin'. Don't understand the fussin' about Earl&Don. Got to talk with both and they really liked each other.
Who is the announcer and Dixieland Jazz pianist?
