  • Best example of job interview?C'mon, try to do that in an interview and they will show you around the way to the exit door. My advise for those who are looking for ways of behaving in an interview...Do not show you are extremely sure that you have the biggest head in town. Use your common sense, and be just who are, basically because, if you are chosen, that is who you will have to be while you are working there.

And yes,I work in the financial world.

  • I love this movie. I wish there was a clip of Don Cheadle in the grocery store with the lottery ticket!!! I love him too!

  • @alturronpiltrafillas Thank you for your response. I think it is important to know the difference between entry level and mid career change firm. The only way to impress for entry level is to show interest and enough ground work and show the right personality. For mid career advance, it is a different story. Imagine you are interviewed for a higher level investment banking role with another firm, then you will have to show them that you are there, not just you have interest in the field.

  • @cestmoilance I do not mean not to show interest or not trying your technical knowledge to shine, but I do not really think this is the way it should be done. I work in investment banking and, so far, when I have been hired, it is because I had been able to show interest and what I can do without giving the sensation of wanting to be in the spotlight, which, after all, I think is what they are looking for. Anyway it is just my point of view.

  • @alturronpiltrafillas I agree with you with one exception. He KNOWS the supervisor intimately. Thus, it is safe to assume he knows exactly what kind of person (attitude, character) he would hire. That's just my two cents. Of course, in the REAL world, you should never be that bold.

  • During my best interview, I was already making suggestions on the project the firm is engaging. In other words "I am here."

  • This interview part actually makes sense. Investment bankers have to good with people and what he did proves that he is good with people. Of course, if this was an interview for middle office risk management or back office operation, such strategy won't work. The best candidate demonstrate inside knowledge of the specific field and conveys the message that I am ready to contribute to your success. This mentality sets a shark apart from a "pussy cat" lol.

  • @tamerswan yep,I kind of made that up...

  • This is one of the finest movies I have ever seen. Not just for Cage, but the supporting cast were also superb. Tea Leoni, Josef Sommer and Saul Rubinek also had outstanding performances. I've seen Rubinek in jolly shleppman roles. In this movie, he's a good guy at first, then when Cage comes back to the corporate world he's a mean guy. And he does the change very well.

  • thats a winner son...cheddar coming!!!

  • How do you put this in a disc? Cause my mom wants tuh watch it.
