  • This computer is now over a year old and its a complete piece of trash. It takes about 5 minutes to boot up, the battery only holds 7% of the original charge, and sometimes the hard drive doesn't recognize it's own files.

Buy a macbook pro and you will have it for years.

  • hey can you set up a password and user name in the main screen you know like when you turn it on can u set it to have a username and password

  • @theassassinjadin Yes, you can.

  • Does the keys on the keyboard light up ?

  • @ArronDeRoy Nope, the keys don't light up.

  • You said you hooked up your netbook to an external TV. How did you do it? With a VGA to HDMI cable? VGA to VGA cable?

  • @whitesox001 VGA to VGA

  • @randlefactor I had a macbook pro got stolen so i had to get one of these for now, six months later Im doing ok, sorry about your luck I like it considering its so affordable

  • cons are short battery life, not enough ram it should have 2 gigs stock. keys jam easily by debris. volume icon wont go away on rare occasions when you change it, need to reboot as a result. volume of speakers weak and volume control is not easily accessed. left shift key is too small its a pain. overall Im satisfied considering its so cheap and I can save my PC for gaming use this for the net and travel.

  • I have this in the dual core 1 gig, heres the Pros.. I like its size, it's convienient for travel. screen looks good, multitouch is nice to have not too smooth but its there. I used it for Onlive worked well, played Terraria and minecraft on minimal settings but I dont recommend it for gaming. Price is so cheap I cant complain if it explodes tommorow. 3 usb thats great. had it 6 months heavy browsing every day never had to get it serviced.

  • @mistervanderveer Onlive works of course but I dont recommend this for gaming. I played terreria it runs smooth on mine great travel game to have on your netbook.

  • @vReapzz haha ... yea. a thousand+ dollar alienware, like everybody can get those lol

  • Can you upgrade the Acer Aspire one d255e's processor

  • Got the same setup on my aspire one, or at least did. I have an older model from about 2-3 years ago with a older atom chip and 512mb ram, so it won't run HD video. It was a great computer though and extremely reliable and rugged.
