Oliphant of The Boston Globe contradicts himself on logic, reality and absolutes. He thinks reality is contradictory, there are no absolutes; and there are absolutes etc.

  • This man is insane.

  • Of the postmodernist variety.

  • Nice. Oliphant committed intellectual suicide.

  • Agreed.

  • Very strange. I feel dumber for listening to him.

  • I have some issues with this gentlemen with the bow tie...he comes off as pompous, though he seems very friendly, and of course he is sidestepping Jan's questions completely...and he does this while continuing this air of logical mastery, which he seems to be more or less b.s.ing his way through this interview. A democracy incorporated into a republic is not a contradiction, it is a system. I'll paraphrase: "There are no contradictions, if you find one, check your premises one of them is wrong."

  • Replace "gray" with BS when he speaks and his psychobabble makes a lot more sense.

  • @Stargazer5781 He is indeed a nut.

  • WTF, did we enter bazaro world. Tom is Janzaro

  • This guy is crazy.

  • @csofan52

Thank you for explaining that to me.

  • Flowery language is nice Oliphant, but it's literally nothing more than that. Nothing you said there was either meaningful or intelligible...

  • he worships order and chaos?

    his words, not mine.

  • "You suffer from the popular delusion of believing that all things can be understood. You do not grasp the fact that the universe is a solid contradiction... nothing can be explained" Professor of Philosophy Dr. Prichett of Atlas Shrugged.
