i play a hybrid of kerry (traditional style) and topend style, with lots of double down sticking.
for reels instead of dudu dudu i may use ddud uddu or dudd uddu
for jigs instead of dud udu i may use ddu ddu or dud dud

Just about any mic will give you bass response.
the closer the mic is to the sound source, the more prevalent the bass will be (proximity effect)

What's the frequencie range of this mic? I'm trying to find a good mic for my 16" x 7" that can pick up all the low ends.

what style of playing is this? I must give it a go. Your mic demonstration is really useful, thanks.
