@nicblank09 i have, in fact my cousin (just came home from the marines) just left and he just finished saying his DI M4 never gave him problems or anyone from his group, and he is a AK fan including me but he was saying the M4 is nicer because it can hit a target at 600 yards with ease and again he never saw it fail, and i own a stag model 2 and its flawless even with tul ammo loaded in a factory steel mag

@nicblank09 lol, no probem, spread the word. i just want to help. people live and die by the tools of this topic.

@HunterKiller308 wow.....i stand corrected...lol great job.

@nicblank09 wrong. the 7.62x39 may have more potential energy at the muzzle, but it does a shit job of transfering it. take a look at a ballistic profiling chart sometime. when the 5.56 enters soft tissue it upsets due to hydrolic action since its so tail heavy, causing it to split and fragment. creating many wound channels, larger cavitation equaling a greater drop in blood pressure and a faster bleed out. the 7.62x39 may yaw once or twice and exit, minimal damage.exit wound mean wasted energy.

@nicblank09 your a fool. every Marine i have ever talked to (im enlisting in 3 months btw) has full confadince in the AR system.
accuracy is key and Marines pride themselves on marksmanship.

@HunterKiller308 an ar is not a good weapon system like the ak47..ask a marine that
-
@HunterKiller308 the ak47 - 7.62 vs ar .223?? i think.. more stopping power for the ak...u do the math

@nicblank09 I DEFINITELY AGREE
I run a Saiga .223, the AK's lil bro. When I live in a free state I'd like to pick up a piston-AR (LWRC, P.O.F) or use an Adams Arms kit to convert a DI AR to a piston.

@mackbk718 Never looked into saiga.223, sounds like a lot of fun.

I shoot what I'm comfortable with. In the Army with experience with the M-16 and got used to it. Had an MAK-90 but never got used to it. I have and will continue to have an AR-15. For me it's more versatile (practice with .22's) and modular and it's what works for me.

@codavex Yea I like my AR too; of course after 20 yrs of shooting it, it tends to grow on ya.
